What we store
To run a deal we store: deal title, description, category, amount, and currency; seller name, phone, and payout IBAN/wallet; buyer name and phone once they join; the transaction reference ID; delivery proof uploads; dispute evidence; and the audit trail of state changes.
PINs
PINs are stored as one-way hashes, never in readable form. DealBond staff cannot look up your PIN. Keep it safe — it authorizes your deal actions.
What we show to the other party
The other party sees your name, a masked phone number, the deal terms, proof uploads, and the audit trail. Full IBANs and wallet numbers are masked to the last 4 digits everywhere except where payout requires them.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never ask for your bank password, OTP, or PIN by message. Anyone asking for those is not DealBond.
Retention
Deal records and audit trails are kept for as long as needed to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, then deleted. Proof uploads are retained for the same period.
